  2. I'll tell you what the problem is with your connection to @4053.  For some
  3. reason he has about 55 bezillion boards connected off of him and his user
  4. activity level is something like 90%.  You're probably getting NO NET messages
  5. because his board is always busy.  I'd love to move you to another connection
  6. because it makes me very uncomfortable having so many boards depending on one
  7. person for their network feeds.  If he goes down something like 25% of the 410
  8. boards will be in deep doodoo.

  10. The thing is, I can't arrange a new connection for you.  That's beyond my
  11. authority.  You can either contact the SysOps of the boards that are local to
  12. you and ask who would allow you to connect, or post a message on the MD SysOp
  13. sub to the same effect, or I could post a similar request on the sub for you.
  14. It shouldn't be a problem because have a Baltimore Metropolitan area telephone
  15. number.  My suggestion is to contact 1@4080, Antryg Windrose, and ask if you
  16. can connect off of his board.  He connects directly to a network server so
  17. [PAUSE]       you'd be 1 hop closer to the net than you are now.  He's also high
  18. I'd offer you a connect here, but it's long distance and I don't think you want
  19. to start paying through the nose for your net feeds.
